Steer clear of offers that appears too good to be true, such as unreasonable low prices and promises of quick money.
Never disclose your financial information
Bank account details, eBay/PayPal info, credit/debit card info and any other information that could be misused
Meet Sellers in open location
Verify the item(s) and make sure it quality meets your expectations before making payment
Prepayments are strictly prohibited on Sellables
Buyers - Payment in advance should not be made for either the delivery or the products. Cost of delivery can be discussed but outright payment should be made only AFTER the product is delivered successfully.
Sellers - do not ask for advance payment before delivery!
Proceed with caution
Carry-out a background investigation on the company and verify its website before attending the interview. Do not pay in advance for a job application or attend interview sited in remote or unfamiliar places. You should not share personal details such as bank account number or copy of your ID.
Other ways scammers and fraudsters defraud people
Wire transfer request
Services such as MoneyGram or Western Union are not intended for transactions between strangers and many fraudulent act are run through it. Avoid such requests.
Fake fee requests
Shun anyone demanding for an extra fee to buy or sell an item/service. Sellables never demand payments for its basic services and does not permit post of items not located in Nigeria, so import and excise fees should never be required.
Fake payment services
Sellables does not offer any payment scheme in purchases. Please, report users alleging to offer such services.
