Xiaomi just added a new portfolio to its K30 series lineup, the Xiaomi Redmi K30 Ultra.
The high-end smartphone which comes as the cheaper edition of K30 Pro was unveiled alonge with the Mi 10 Ultra and a transparent TV.

To keep the price low, Xiaomi replaced the snapdragon chipset with a cheaper Mediatek flagship processor, and a drop in the battery capacity

In contrast from the Pro, it made major upgrade on its audio system, and the rest seems to be the same as the Pro model.

Design and Display

At first glance, the Xiaomi Redmi K30 Ultra aesthetically, resembles the Redmi K30 Pro.

The Gorrila Glass 5 build with aluminum sandwich is the same, with the colour variants which include Moonlight White, Midnight Black, Mint Green shades the distinguishing factor between them.

The matte finish back cover sport a circular camera module housing a quad camera stack. Underneath the camera module is an LED flash while the Redmi branding rocks the bottom.

Upfront, it still flaunts a 6.67-inch Full HD+ Samsung AMOLED Display devoid of cut-out or notch with it pop-up camera design and 1080 x 2400 pixel resolution.

The notchless display supports HDR 10+, 1200 nits of peak brightness, in-display fingerprint scanner. and 120Hz refresh rate which you can see on high-end phones like OnePlus 8 range Samsung Galaxy S20 range and even the Oppo Find X2.

The hefty device weighs 213g complimented by 163.3 x 75.4 x 9.1 mm body dimensions and an improved microphones as well as audio zoom technology.

The Cameras

The Xiaomi Redmi K30 Ultra dole out a 5G network, Wi-Fi 6, dual-band Wi-Fi, 2×2 MIMO, a USB Type C port, dual-band Wi-Fi, IR blaster, Bluetooth 5.1, and NFC.


A 4500mAh battery capacity powers redmi K30 ultra which is 200mAh drop in the pro model and you’d get a 33W fast charge backed by Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+ which tops up 100% charge in 58 min.

The Xiaomi Redmi K30 Ultra is priced around $398 for the base 6GB / 128GB variant. In Nigeria it sells for 153,835 Naira, 42,993 KSH in Kenya, and 2,302 GHC in Ghana.

The maxed out 8GB / 512GB variant of the Xiaomi Redmi K30 ultra sells for $498 which translates to 192,486 Naira in Nigeria, 53,795 KSH in Kenya, and 2,880 GHC in Ghana.
