Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro 5G

The Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro 5G is the higher version of the standard Mi 10 and a successor of the Mi 9 Pro.

The Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro focuses on four key features: the display, processor performance, battery life, and the camera.

It consist of a slim metal frame sandwiched in-between two 3D curved Corning Gorilla Glass 5 panels that curve around the edges to meet the aluminum.

The flawless glass build creates an utterly seamless transition from glass to metal to glass as you move your finger around the edge. The fit and finish of this handset is second to none.

At the rear, the camera design module is the most striking feature. Instead of the bulky rectangle, the Mi 10 Pro’s cameras are lined in a vertical column with three lenses are housed in the same raised module, the fourth lens is, inexplicably, an island unto itself.

The device comes in two colour options which are Alpine White or Solstice Grey colors.

Dimensions of the phone are 162.6 × 74.8 × 8.96mm and its weight is 208g.

90Hz AMOLED Display

Like the Mi 10, it features a 6.67-inch curved Full HD+ AMOLED display with HDR10+ support and a screen resolution of 1080 x 2340 Pixel. The display has a 90Hz refresh rate unlike the Galaxy S20 with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a brightness of 800nits.

Like it’s competitors (S20, V60, P40, Pixel 4, OnePlus 8 Pro) Mi 10 pro have an IP68 ratings.

At the front it features a punch-hole selfie camera.

Snapdragon 865 with 5G Support

The smartphone is powered by top-of-the-line processor, Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset along with Adreno 650 GPU. In addition to the chipset is a 5G modem, which supports 5G network.

It also features LiquidCool 2.0 vapor chamber.

LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.0 Storage

The Mi 10 Pro flagship is packed with the latest LPPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.0 type storage. It comes with up to 12GB RAM and two UFS 3.0 storage options 256GB and 512GB in-built storage.

Android 10

The Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro runs on MIUI 11 on top of Android 10 operating system. An update on MIUI is expected soon.

108MP Camera

The rear camera comes with quad-camera (4) setup which has a 108MP primary camera with a Samsung sensor, f/1.69 aperture, OIS, 20MP ultra-wide lens, f/2.2 aperture, 12MP portrait lens, f/2.0 and an 8MP telephoto sensor, f/2.2 aperture with 50x digital zoom. The zoom lens is the top lens in the camera in the quad-cameras.

The selfie punch hole camera is a 20MP shooter.

The camera supports a range of video-shooting modes that may excite videographers – the phone can shoot in 8K recording at 30fps, 4K and 1080p at 60fps and 720p slow-mo at 240fps, so there’s some versatility here, and there are various useful modes.

Audio Features

No headphone jack, but features a USB Type-C. The audio also showcases a Hi-Rez audio support and1.2cc dual stereo speakers with aptX Adaptive codec and LHDC support.

Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro is a 5G enabled phone, the Mi 10 also supports Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 6 802.11 ax (2.4GHz + 5GHz) 8 x / MU-MIMO, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS (L1 + L5), NFC, hotspot and lots more.

Battery and Fast Charging

Fuelled by a non-removable 4500mAh Li-Po battery with 50W wired fast charging. It also supports 30W wireless fast charging as well as a 65W charger that can pump the battery from 0% to 100% in 45 minutes, says Xiaomi.

When it comes to recharging rapidly, none beats the Mi Note 10.

The Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro’s three configurations which includes 8GB RAM + 256GB storage priced a (~$716) in china, 12GB RAM + 256GB storage priced at (~$787) which is around 280,000.00 Nigerian naira and the 12GB RAM + 512GB storage priced at $895 which is around 328,524.30 Nigerian naira.

The price will be dependent on the country as the company stated it will use a “different” pricing model for the flagship line in the market cos The company added that they import devices rather than make them in the country, owing to technical challenges.


The Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro is a classy powerful premium device, with an improved rear camera setups, a faster 50W fast charging, larger chamber 1.2cc dual stereo speakers and up to 512GB when compared to Mi 10.

It 90Hz refresh rate is outstanding, it’s loudspeaker is one of the best you’d get from a smartphone and a speedy processor performance.

In contrast to Huawei’s P40 Pro, the xiaomi Mi 10 Pro has a full slate of Google apps, including the Google Play Store. This makes it a better alternative to the Huawei if you’re to choose between both phones.

However, Mi 10 pro has it drawbacks too, like it’s slow finger sensor or the bloatware problems, xiaomi has failed to solve with its own-brand user interface MIUI and the price is quite a bit more than you’d expect for a Xiaomi phone.

In a nutshell, it has a great speakers, good cameras and it’s fast charging but failed to solve it slow fingerprint scanner, bloatware problems and most importantly it lofty price tag
