Vivo V20 2021 Specs
Few months after the launch of the 2020 editon of the Vivo V20, the company has unveiled its successor, the Vivo V20 2021.
The new smartphone comes in as the updated version of Vivo’s mid-range smartphones of the popular V20 family.
The phones made an upgrade in the storage and hardware department, aside that, it packs same design and features with the 2020 edition.

Design and Display
The Vivo V20 2021 design is simply a carbon copy of the design on its predecessor, the 2020 model of the V20. Distinguishing between both smartphones is pretty difficult, as they both parade same color variants Midnight Jazz, Moonlight Sonata and Sunset Melody.
The Midnight Jazz and Moonlight Sonata comes with 7.38mm thickness, trumping the Vivo X50 with 161.3mm in height, 74.2mm in width and an unforgettable lightweight to hold at 171 grams just like it’s predecessor, Vivo V20, Vivo V20 SE and Vivo Y70.
The Sunset Melody variant is a bit thicker and heavier with 7.48mm thickness and 172 grams respectively.
The front wears a 6.44-inch AMOLED display bearing an overhead waterdrop notch, offering 1080 x 2400 Full HD+ resolution with an aspect ratio of 20:9, an in-display fingerprint scanner and a 409 PPI density.
Moving to the rear, reveals more similarities with AG matte glass with AF coating to protects the smartphone from fingerprint smears.
A triple camera lens and an LED flash are fitted on a rectangular module just like it’s predecessor and far beneath the module is the Vivo branding.
The Camera is not left out of the copy and paste features. The front and the rear are both armed by the same number of cameras as well as the same specs.
Calling the shots on the back end is a 64MP primary camera with a f/1.89 aperture revealing vivid, vibrant details.
The supporting rear cameras of 8MP Multi-function camera with a 120˚ field of view, and 2MP mono camera creates wide perspectives, super macro, bokeh and black and white film effects.
This rear setup comes with an LED flash, a new Tripod Night Mode, super night mode, Autofocus for object, motion and eye, stylish night filter, ultra stable video, 4K video recording and lots more.
Sitting at the overhead notch, is a lone 44MP shooter, with eye autofocus selfie and an Eye Autofocus Video. This camera captures 4K selfie video, dual-view video, super night selfie 2.0 with aura screen light and lots more.
Hardware and Software
The glaring distinction between this device and it’s predecessor is the hardware.
Internally, Vivo transitioned from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 720G chipset to Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 Mobile Platform Processor bring 4G, an Octa-core CPU with 2.2GHz frequency and Adreno 618 graphics unit.
The V20 2021 runs on Vivo’s Funtouch OS 11 user interface, based on Android 11 operating system.
The silicon chip is mated to 8GB RAM paired to 128GB / 256GB built-in storage and a memory card slot of up to 1TB storage.
The Vivo V20 2021 features a WiFi 5GHz, USB Type-C, a 3.5mm headphone jack, GPS, FM radio, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, dual SIM and 4G LTE connectivity
Keeping the phone alive is a non-removable 4000mAH Li-Po battery backed by 33W FlashCharge which promises to replenish your battery to 65% in just 30 minutes, just time for tea break.
Vivo V20 2021 Price and Availability
The price of the Vivo V20 2021 starts at Rs. 24,990 in India for the base model. This converts to $342 in the US, which translate to about ₦134,500 in Nigeria, 37,641 KSH in Kenya and 1,993 GH₵ in Ghana.
