Oppo Find X2 Neo Specs
Oppo Find X2 Neo is the most stylish member of Oppo’s Find X2 Series.
The smartphone is classed in the ‘premium mid-range’ segment, offering a thin, premium design, 5G stunning display, versatile cameras, great fast-charging and some powerful internals.
Design and Display
The Oppo Find X2 Neo comes as a rebranded Oppo Reno3 Pro 5G offering a a thin, stylish dual-curved design paired with solid build and premium chassis.
The curved glass front and back present a rich flagship-esque in-hand feel, is a definite improvement over the likes of the OnePlus Nord with its plastic shell while the aluminium rail running around the edges is squared off slightly to improve grip.
This quad-camera bump is subtle and vertically placed with LED flash on the side and the oppo branding all placed on the rear smooth panel
Like the design, the display quality feel much of a flagship piece boasting of a 90Hz refresh rate, which is arguably the sweet spot for buttery-smooth visuals, a slim bezel, a 20:9 aspect ratio dubbed from Sony Xperia I II and it ticks all the right boxes for its price bracket expect for the omission of HDR compliance.
The positive vibe continues with a 6.5-inch Full HD+ 1080 x 2400 resolution AMOLED panel offering better colours, contrast and power efficiency than LCD counterpart and an ultra-thin in-display fingerprint technology
At 7.7mm thickness, it was the world’s thinnest 5G smartphone, until the emergence of Vivo X50 with its 7.49mm thickness and a heft of 171 grams lighter than S20.
The curved display reaches 88.4% screen-to-body ratio, TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light Certification, 180Hz sampling rate, 405 PPI density, 1100nits of peak brightness but not certified for water resistance and no audio jack.
The glossy finish comprising of Moonlight Black and Starry Blue colourways are fingerprints magnet though the latter is a less smudge-prone option.
One major distinction between the Find X2 Neo and Find X2 Lite are their camera setups. The extra bucks spent on Neo offers you more robust set of sensors with greater versatility.
The Neo’s quad camera setup on the back plays host to a 48MP main sensor having a f/1.7 aperture with an OIS as with the TCL 10 5G. This is assisted by a 13MP telephoto sensor having f/2.2 aperture with 5x Hybrid Optical Zoom, an 8MP ultrawide sensor with a 115˚ field-of-view and lastly, a 2MP monochrome sensor.
Like the Lite version, it packs same 32MP front-facing camera with beauty algorithm to create stunning visage during selfies, and video recordings.
By default the main camera is binned down to a crisp 12MP shot and supports up to 4k video at 60fps. Interestingly there’s a Soloop App, a powerful AI algorithm that allows quick and easy video editing to match the rhythm of the music.
Hardware and Software
Like the Lite version it is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G, which is a distinction from the standard Find X2 and X2 Pro with their 865 chipsets.
The integrated 5G SoC has an octa-core processor with clock speed of 2.4 GHz and Adreno 620 for graphics.
There’s also a multi-layer liquid cooling system effectively disperse heat from the processor and screen when running power-intensive task or gaming.
It runs on Oppo’s ColorOS 7 user interface based on Android 10 OS.
A generous 12GB RAM storage unit and 256GB ROM of non-expandable storage.
It comes with a 5G network, dual stereo speakers, single SIM support, and Bluetooth 5.1.
The Find X2 Neo is fuelled by a non-removable 4025mAh battery with 30W VOOC Flash Charge 4.0, which claims to Charge from 3% to 50% in just 20 minutes.
