Nokia 8.3 5G Smartphone- Specification, Reviews and Price

The first Nokia phone to feature 5G

After the cancellation of this year’s Mobile World Congress, HMD Global – a Finnish smartphone manufacturer based in Finland has unveiled its first-ever 5G phone, Nokia 8.3 5G. In addition to Nokia 8.3 5G, Nokia 5.3 and Nokia 1.3 are also unveiled.

As the name implies it is the first 5G-capable Nokia device and it focused on its 5G elements of the smartphone.

This isn’t a top-end flagship device designed as a replacement for Nokia 9 though;  however, this Nokia 8.3 5G is a slightly cheaper variant to the Nokia top flagship.

Nokia 8.3 5G Specs

Below we’ve put together key features, cost and specs about the latest Nokia Nokia 8.3 5G smartphone.

Release date and availability

Release date details for the Nokia 8.3 5G is still sketchy, and the company has only confirmed it’ll be releasing the phone in the second quarter (Q2) of the year.

The exact price is still sketchy but it may be available around €599 (about $650, £550, AU$1,100, N242,000) but HMD Global has yet to confirm the exact markets.

Design and display

The smartphone display is a 6.81-inch Full FHD+ PureDisplay screen with an aspect ratio of 20:9. Which means the phone’s screen will be longer than most handsets in an attempt to have a larger screen without it feeling too husky in the hand.

The Size is 171.90 x 78.56 x 8.99 m and the screen’s FHD+ resolution is 1080 x 2400, which is a pixel density of 386 pixels per inch. That likely means the picture won’t be as clear as what you’ll get on a QHD device, but it is still cool.

The Nokia 8.3 5G smartphone is embedded in pristine Nordic design and comes in Polar Night – down to the color that takes inspiration from the Northern Lights.

We don’t the length of duration but it comes with a battery type of 4500 mAh non-removable battery. That is quite enormous for a handset like this, but the extra power may not be unconnected with 5G usage.
